The Stock and Service Centres are Brevini's strategic and organizational
solution for changing market needs. By opening the first Stock and
Service Centre in Europe, Brevini achieved important objectives:
delivery times for small lots of planetary gear units shorted from
4 weeks to a few days, lower transport and warehouse costs, improved
service for OEM manufacturers, and a strengthening of the strategic
"networking company" concept.
Each branch in this network of assembly, assistance and engineering
centers is able to provide project consulting, integrated packages,
and spot delivery to clients that require a "streamlined"
production program.
The Stock and Service Centres are the tangible evolution of Brevini's
networking company and are the fundamental rationalization tool
that will allow the company to cut distribution costs, eliminate
diseconomies deriving from delays caused by Europe's rail and road
networks, and harmonize production flows with the company's sales
policy and financial demands.
Three Stock and Service Centres are already open in Alphen a/d Rijn (Netherlands), in Chicago (Illinois, USA) and in Rovigo (Italy). The next centers will be inaugurated in Asia and Oceania.
